Welcome to our corner of the world wide web.    Our aim is to provide families with an opportunity to participate in fun athletics activities in a relaxed friendly environment.    Everyone is welcome.     We cater for ages 5 to 105.   We even have a provision for those under 5 who have a brother or sister competing to join in some of our activities.

Our season runs from May to November and we meet every Sunday afternoon from 1:00pm at the sports ground in Nielsen Park, Bargara.   

 MOVE TO WINTER TIMETABLE

Due to unseasonal hot weather over the past couple of years that has affected our athletes both in performance and health, the Committee has decided that from the 2008 season our activities will be conducted between May and November in line with what Centres in other tropical areas are also doing.

On 30-31 August some of our athletes competed in the 2008 Zone Championships at Biloela achieving a very credible array of medals recognising their efforts.

These athletes were great ambassadors for our Centre and their achievements - win or lose - are a credit to the dedication and effort they have input to their chosen sport.

Congratulations guys on a wonderful job well done.

Bargara Little Athletics have commenced talks with Councillors Barnes and Forgan of Bundaberg Regional Council seeking their advice and assistance   in  an  endeavour  to  establish  an  elite  athletics  facility  in  Bargara.   

Early signs are encouraging and it is possible, with the right support from the community and all levels of government that such a facility could become a reality within a few years.
